Lighthearted Woodland for a Park Ave. Family

November 16, 2017

This high Park Avenue apartment is transformed into a natural habitat by these portraits of quirky yet majestic hardwood trees. The designer, Connie Newberry for Gerrald Bland Inc,. wanted to bring the outdoors inside.  Amidst a bustling city that longs for more nature, this is a welcome relief. I Spy is a favorite game for the children, so along with the family's beloved furry friends, there is a whole menagerie of wildlife hidden within this lush landscape.

There is nothing quite like being surrounded by murals on all sides, an effect that opens up a space and creates the sense of being transported from the hard surfaces of the city to a woodlands retreat. The room almost smells of pine.
